Various bugs after updating to 4.50

Pascal Platteel 5 years ago in bOS Server updated 5 years ago 2

4.50 is a very unstable update with lots of bugs.

- Many function not found errors when accessing various items on the server, like setting the right region (which was reset to default value again by the update) or checking network settings (that was also changed to default settings with the update)

- Can't set time zone (error calling function)

- Can't change network settings (error calling function)

- Viewing logfiles generates multiple errors calling function messages

- Adding new weather crashes BOS server

- Error icons in some tasks for no apparent reason.

- bOS Server crashes often, especialy when working from bOS Configurator (adding a task or node will crash bOS)

- Unable to add a trigger in a program (under tasks), adding will crash the interface with object not set to a reference error!

- Trying to add a trigger in a program with Condition set to ValueChanged (OnChange) will result in error 'Field value was not set' and not adding the trigger!

- Can not copy-past. It results in error message 'Error copying data from the clipboard, reference not set to instance of an object'

- When connecting with bOS Client (windows or iOS), continious connection error about 'Can not connect with this profile. Profile key does not match the server key. Possible security violation. Do you want to proceed anyway?'

- and many many many more bugs.

To bad I updated to a buggy version of bOS server...

When can we expect a stable update from 4.5?

bOS update to 4.5.0

Kristián Vojčík 6 years ago in bOS Server updated 5 years ago 17

Hello. After starting to update all of our installations I noticed that bOS Configurator can not connect to updated one, it says Downloading Configuration, then Configuration is loading. Please wait and that repeat. bOS Client has no problem connect to that installation. Any solution for this issue? It seems that is case of all devices updated to 4.5.0.

Graphic spikes when bOS makes a backup

Jürgen Jürgenson 6 years ago in bOS Server updated 6 years ago 16

Hey clickers,

I'm having a weird problem again, Our client demanded graphics for every meter (C/H water, electricity and for the whole building ventilation system) and i noticed that when we did a backup of the bOS configuration or the server did a restart, we got weird spikes in graphics that sometimes where lower values and some were higher values. The water and electricity info is collected and readout by Anybus mbus to modbus and the ventilation values are collected with usb modbus dongle. Pic below has a week view but actually the value rises again after the server get the correct value again from Anybus.

Lower value spike, goes back to normal after 15min.

Higher value spike, goes back to normal after 15min

The thing is that I've been watching the raw logs from Anybus and these spikes don't come from Anybus... And when i look at the database files I see that right after the bOS server comes up it writes a unknown value and 15minutes(thats the update time of Anybus) later it will update it to the correct one. How to get rid of them spikes and where to they come from? And as you see from the picture the spikes are random not every meter is affected by it. I now have corrected the value spikes manually.

2 bOS servers on the same public IP address

Francois Lesueur 6 years ago in bOS Server updated by Jürgen Jürgenson 6 years ago 3

Hello,

I have 2 Jigsaw servers on the same ADSL link, hence the same public IP address, which each Jigsaw server has its own local IP address.

Then I cannot forward port 443 from the public address to both local IP address : I can only control remotely one of the servers but not the two of them.

What set-up would allow me to control both ? Can I change the 443 port on the ComfortClick web page when registering the server ?

Please keep in mind that I'm on Jigsaw, not on Windows ; so, I don't have access to the system and I cannot edit the default port as it is possible on Windows.

Thanks,

François

RPC Security

Ricardo Pinto | visiontech pt 6 years ago in bOS Server updated 6 years ago 2

Hi,

I've been using the RPC service with IFTTT and Tasker, but I'm really concerned about the security.

Of course that a VPN can increase the security. But for those who are still not using a VPN, this means expose a port for a service which is not protected.

Even in the LAN, there's no way to protect the service... unless you shut it down, block the access through MAC addresses, or any other way...

I know that the service is still in "beta" and it's to be used at our own risk, but can you think about protecting the service? It would be awesome!

Thanks

Best regards

Push notifications issue

Noel Fuentes 6 years ago in bOS Server updated 6 years ago 4

Hello,

We're experiencing some issues with push notifications in one of our latest bOS. The thing is, at some point, the users stop receiving push notifications.

When this happens, we delete the clients, under the user menu, and once the users logout and in again, it works again for some time.

Any tip on this?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards.

Duplicated device name error

Jürgen Jürgenson 6 years ago in bOS Server updated 6 years ago 2

Hey,

I found a feature. When there is 2 or more devices with the same name(device name for the mobile), they wont show up under the correct users account.
We just had a problem with a duplicated mobile name, client  logged in and we couldn't see the device but the account was correct(i could see it in the log as logged in with the correct account). I needed to change the default theme to a mobile one, but couldn't.

The problem was fixed when I changed the device name under the bOS app settings and logged out and in again.

But my logic is that if the users (account)name and password is different it shouldn't matter what is the device name.
