Amazon Echo to control KNX thermostat

Bart Schellens 6 years ago in General updated by Ricardo Pinto | visiontech pt 6 years ago 5

I'm experimenting with Amazon Echo and it's pretty impressive to turn on lights, dim lights, lower the curtains, control my Sonos by speech commands.  Congrats to the bOS team to implement this and looking forward to more functionalities.

I'm struggling however with the bOS Thermometer reference and Target Temperature Reference.  I've created two appliances. One called 'Room' with only the Thermometer reference filled in (KNX object with room temperature) and this works fine.  For the heating in that same room I created another appliance called 'Heating' with the Target Temperature Reference pointing to a KNX object with the group address of the temperature setpoint input in the Address field and the setpoint feedback object in the Status Address field (this works fine in the bOS app both setting and the feedback).

Using the 'Heating' appliance I can easily set the setpoint without problems.  When I however call: "Alexa, what is the Heating set to ?" as indicated in bOS configurator, (s)he replies with the room temperature instead of the heating setpoint (Literally saying: "The temperature of the room is ... degrees").  This is very strange since the room temperature group address is not even linked to the 'Heating' appliance in bOS but only to the 'Room' appliance?  I checked and both group addresses (the Address and Status Address group address) of the object referred to in the 'Heating' appliance both give the correct setpoint value.  I tried removing both appliances 'Room' and 'Heating' and re-creating them but without success.  I'm really curious if I'm making a mistake here or if there is a small bug in the bOS appliances ?  Any suggestion welcome.

Z-wave - Leviton dimmer #DZ6HD status not updated in UI

Calin Birtocean 6 years ago in Devices / Z-Wave updated 6 years ago 9

Hello guys,

I have added to the Z-wave node the  Leviton dimmer DZ6HD. It responds to the commands initiated from UI to toggle and dimmer the lights connected to the switch. If I operate manually the switch the status does't get updated in bOS. Have any idea why it doesn't work?

Thank you,

Calin

Hello,

I am trying to enable the ComfortClick bOS Smart Home skill from Amazon.com and I am getting the following message: "You are not eligible to enable this skill due to geographical restrictions.".

Any suggestions on how I can get this skill connected to the bOS?

Thank you!!!

Can't access https site

Francisco Oliveira 6 years ago updated by ComfortClick Support 6 years ago 5

Dear All

I have the server running on widows 7 starter.

I can access the server trough http://<your local IP>/ but from https://<your local IP>/ doesn't work.

I've checked the ports and they aren't blocked in the firewall.

I think this is the reason I can't put my alexa working (in the site appears that "she" makes connection trough https).

Can anyone help me?

Thanks

Is it possible to use Comfortclick to display data from a SQL database?

Does anyone have tried this before? If not so, anyone has any thoughts on how to do that?

Hello,

Grabing some info via API for various application, I need to decode UNIX time stamp.

Despite extensive search on the net, I could not find a way to program a decoding way in bOS so far. Any idea how to do this ?

Thanks in advance for any help,

Lighting scenes not changing value (true/false)

Joachim 6 years ago in bOS Configurator / Tasks updated by ComfortClick Support 6 years ago 3

Hi,

My lighting scenes seems to be stuck in their respective state. When triggered from visualization and KNX push buttons they behave as expected, but the true/false state does not change. 3 out of 9 scenes are always "false" and the rest is "true"

My heating scenes works without flaws...

Ideas, anyone?

Error changing port after upgrading to 4.4.0

Frank 6 years ago in bOS Server updated by Luis Miguel Comino Rivas 6 years ago 6

Hi.

I have used another port for HTTPS communication (8443) to bOS server

REF: http://support.comfortclick.com/forums/4-comfortclick/topics/1254-error-connecting-when-port-number-are-changed/

But when I upgraded to 4.4.0 today, it defaulted back to port 443 and I cannot change it back to 8443.

I the file: C:\Program Files (x86)\ComfortClick\bOS Server\BOSService.exe.config it still says 8443 and I have restarted the service with bOS Service Monitor, but it is still on port 443??

Are there any new routines for changing ports in v. 4.4.0?

Any ideas why it don't work?
