KNX connection type resets after reboot

Noel Fuentes 4 years ago in Devices / KNX updated by Michiel Kenis 3 years ago 7

Hello,

After upgrading bOS to the latest version (4.8.20), when I reboot the server (a clean reboot: Building/Reboot), the KNX conecction type sets itself automatically to KNX IP. I change it to KNXnet IP (Falcon), but with a new reboot, it changes back to KNX IP.

Is anyone experiencing this?

Best regards,

Basic TCP connection command

Luca F 4 years ago in Devices / Basic updated by ComfortClick Support 4 years ago 1

Hello,

I’m trying to control an Epson projector via esc/vp21 tcp protocol.

It requires a connection command to open the connection.
Than I can send various command to pj.
if I do it manually( menu function-send) it works perfectly, but if I try to put it in a program to check and do automatically connection it does’t work.  Seems basic device do tcp connection. So it return connected status but in reality the connection is not opened by specific command.
if I try to send connection command anyway for each command pj closes the connection going.

Maybe I’m approaching the problem in the wrong way.
Could someone help me with some advice?

thank you

HTTP device, different path in host URL

Artem Kuteynikov 4 years ago in Devices / Http updated 4 years ago 4

Hello,

To control a device i should POST requests on different UTIs: http://[IP]:[PORT|/[PATH].

Everything works fine, but i have to create different HTTP devices for each function of one physical device. So, is there a possibility to import[PATH] as a variable or a part of request?

Thanks.

mDNS reply reading via Basic driver.

Artem Kuteynikov 4 years ago in Devices / Basic updated 4 years ago 2

Hello,

a device publishes its services as mDNS message/reply, is there a chance to fetch data from such message?

As far as i can see mDNS utilizes UDP, but Basic driver configured as: Udp, Device_ip_address, src_port_number (as remote port), dst_port_number (as local port), ASCII, text, won`t do any good. Sniffer shows that device posts requests/replies which contain data i need though.

Thanks.

nguyen nguyen 4 years ago in Devices / KNX updated by ComfortClick Support 4 years ago 1

Hi Ad,

I'm learning the connection between a bOS and a device with KNX protocol.
How many devices can the bOS be connected to via KNX?
If you have a sample configuration of bOS and KNX device, please share it with me.

Thanks & Best Regards.

Z-wave Schlage Connect door lock BE469ZP

Calin Birtocean 4 years ago in Devices / Z-Wave updated by ComfortClick Support 2 years ago 6

Hello,

I am seeking some help on including the z-wave door lock.

I have followed these instructions:

  1. Exclude your lock from your hub. The lock might have partially pair to the hub. Doing an exclusion will help the lock forget that it is paired, so an inclusion can be successful.
  2. Factory reset your lock. This step will delete any programming, so you will have to add codes back to the lock
  3. Move the lock closer to the hub. When pairing, the ideal distance is 6ft or less. You can remove the lock away from the door to pair if you can't relocate the hub. Then reinstall after pairing is complete.
  4. Pair your lock to your hub. This step is best to be preformed with your Z-wave hub's customer service. They might have additional steps if this is a master node system.

https://www.schlage.com/en/home/faq.html?id=131805

https://instructions.allegion.com/instr/86/3540

However, in doesn't get fully included. The node is partially included and a red led instead of a green led is flashing on the lock at the end of inclusion. A green led flashing would indicate a successfully added process.

Some instructions refer to DSK Code https://instructions.allegion.com/instr/86/3549 and I was wondering if bOS is looking for this code in order to fully include the node.

Is there also a possibility also that the z-wave driver for bOS has to be updated to include this device in the catalog?

Thank you,

Calin
