Modbus devices with different properties in one bus.

Artem Kuteynikov 3 years ago in Devices / Modbus updated 3 years ago 2

Hello,

is it possible to communicate with devices in the same bus, which have different settings (for example: Low Word First)? Could Data settings of Modbus driver be implemented on Slave node?

And a possibility to disable any Slave (for commissioning or testing) so that server won`t see an error, would be convenient.

Thanks.

Onvif Imou Cameras

Fernando Indopesan 3 years ago in Devices / Cameras updated by Francois Lesueur 5 months ago 5

Hello,

I'm trying to connect several Imou (dahua) cameras with a Device / IP Camera option, but it doesn't work.

In VLC I reach the image with the url

rtsp://USER:PASS@IP:554/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0

but it doesn't work ni bOS Configurator.

When I try to connect it by ONVIF with the URL

rtsp://USER:PASS@IP:554/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0&unicast=true&proto=Onvif

it doesn't work either, I get the message that the camera doesn't support ONVIF (it actually does, because I can see it in VLC)

Have you ever tried this type of camera? Can you tell me how to solve it?

Thank you!!

Hi there,

is it possible to set object state depending on variable value, like that:

MySchedule.Enabled = varState.Value = 1

or multiple if statements are required?

Thanks,

What is Modbus Network Capacity in NUC or JIGSAW?

Marco Antonio Fernandes 3 years ago in Devices / Modbus updated by ComfortClick Support 3 years ago 1

Good Morning!

I've been researching the Comfortclick website, but I have some doubts about Modbus.

Here are the questions below and also an outline of the basic concepts for Modbus RTC and TCP/IP:

1. Is there any difference in capacity between a NUC or JIGSAW?
2. Is there any difference in capacity between an RS-485 RTU or TCP/IP?
3. Is there any limitation or does bOS Comfortclick comply with the Modbus standard, ie up to 32 devices [without repeater] or 247 [with repeater]?
4. Is there the possibility of limitation by the manufacturer/device, having limited the amount of modbus addresses?
[As shown in the example on the Comfortclick page:
https://www.comfortclick.com/BOS/KnowledgeBase/Modbus]

Thanks!

Hello,

1. Regarding Modbus, there is no big difference, both servers could handle similar number of Modbus devices (but number of Modbus devices is not the key factor it is number of registers/data points) if it is a commercial project I recommend you to use at least Grinder Black or even better Sledgehammer, due to professional server features (e.g. full disk backup, remote control of server hardware through web interface...)

2. No difference.

3. bOS comply with Modbus standard so you can integrate maximum number of devices according to Modbus standard.

4. Do not fully understand last question.

Best regards

How to export Trend Log on Client to .CSV format [Excel]?

Marco Antonio Fernandes 3 years ago in bOS Client updated by ComfortClick Support 3 years ago 4

Good evening!

I'm watching a development partner and we're having a problem trying to export the trend log from the Client. Has anyone faced this type of problem?

We have the values being stored in the trend log inside the Configurator, making it possible to create a backup of the values [in the Configurator] in .DB format. We were able to see the table with the values inside SQLite and export it to .CSV [Excel] format. However, when we try to export the trend log of the graph with all points being plotted on the screen, through the button in the upper right corner of the Client [Graphics], the exported file in .CSV format is zeroed. Any tips? Is there any specific configuration for such functionality?

bringing my blinds from KNX to CC

Bernhard Haba 3 years ago in Devices / KNX updated 3 years ago 7

Hello guys,

I need your help on the subject of shading.

I have my blinds now all integrated in KNX and placed on the glass buttons in the respective rooms - now I want to bring the also in ComfortClick and fail.

As a device it is displayed to me but "Boolean" and I suspect here is also the error.
In the demos I find only "Int32" but I can not configure it in this way!?

Where is my wrong thinking?

Is there a description of what I have to watch out for?

Is perhaps in the ETS5 a wrong data value that is output?

Please for your experienced help.

Bernhard

Grpah scale padded

Paul G 3 years ago in bOS Client updated by ComfortClick Support 3 years ago 4

Anyone knows why the graph scales more than required? For example in the image attached, the maximum value achieved on the Y axis for the current is about 13 A, however BOS chooses to scale the graph with a maximum of  20 on the Y axis.

Tbh, even is the number on the Y axis was 5, the graph would still show 20 as the max, hence losing all ability to read the values.

Any thoughts? there is no way to change any property to create such padding space!
