Boolean/Double groups - more types of outcome

Joost vB 2 months ago in Devices / Basic 0

I'm working on a way to turn on a schedule if one of 3 boolean values is set to true.

I've had to create a work-around since a Boolean Group only turns to true if all references are true. (=AND)

It'd be great to have a choice on how the Boolean Group works: in this case an OR-functionality would've made my job quite a bit easier.

I was thinking the same thing for de Double groups. At the moment its output is the average of all double references.

Would be great if there were a choice in the calculation it does (SUM, PROD, MED, etc.).

So just wondering:

any plans for adding a way to select a type of calculation on the different variable groups?

Would be a great addition!

Does anyone know where the configuration files for Server and Config are? There is no longer those files, like the profiles you have when you open the Configurator application, where is that stored?

Modbus USB Dongle remote diagnostics

Maciej Kapica 3 months ago in Devices / Modbus updated by Jürgen Jürgenson 3 months ago 5

Is there a way to diagnose (remotely) MODBUS USB dongle connected to Grinder? It stopped working :( I receive error: "Port is in use by another driver or process". Changing COM port in BoS Config does't work (ie says that port is not available), restarting server also doesn't help, turning diver on and off doesn't help, connection status is FALSE.

Hello,

I see that I need to update my software but I am afraid of the warning message as I haven't done this before and I feat it could cause any hardware issue or in the server or the configuration?

Thank you.

BACnet Priorities, Integration of 3rd party devices

Mohamad Shumal 3 months ago in bOS Configurator updated by Jürgen Jürgenson 3 months ago 1

Hello everyone,

I am currently using Jigsaw Pro for home automation and have integrated a Siemens PXC4 controller along with an RDG260KN/BK thermostat via BACnet/IP. While the integration works well overall, I’ve encountered a couple of challenges related to BACnet write priorities and multistate commands.

Challenge 1: BACnet Write Priority

When writing values, such as temperature setpoints or operation modes, to the Siemens controller through Jigsaw Pro, the values seem to be written at BACnet priority 8. This priority level acts as a manual override in the Siemens PXC4 controller. However, for my application, I need these values to be written at BACnet priority 13, which corresponds to normal operation without overriding.

I’ve tested the PXC4 using BACnet browsers like Yabe and Siemens BACnet Browser, and I can successfully write values at priority 13 from those tools. I’m wondering if Jigsaw Pro supports specifying the write priority for BACnet points and, if so, how this can be configured within the system.

Challenge 2: Multistate BACnet Commands

In addition, I need to configure a multistate BACnet point for the thermostat's operation mode. Specifically, I want to send:

  • Value 2 for Off
  • Value 5 for Cooling

Could someone guide me on how to configure these specific multistate commands in Jigsaw Pro? I also need to ensure that these commands are written at BACnet priority 13.

I would appreciate any guidance or suggestions from the community or the ComfortClick support team to help resolve these issues.

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

Switch on a scene using movement detector task

Simen Hagen 3 months ago in bOS Configurator / Tasks updated by Ricardo Pinto | visiontech pt 3 months ago 1

Hi, I tried to use the movement detector task to trigger a scene. The status of the scene updates to ON when the movement detector value is true, but not the actual brightness values of the lights implemented in the scene. Is there a feedback that needs to programmed?

Also I use a KNX switch to actuate the same scene, KNX switch sends a 1byte telegram to trigger the scene, the scene contains both 1byte ''brightness values'' and 1bit ''switching'' group adresses for lights. This works fine.

What is the best way to integrate a movement detector? I want the scene to work both from the KNX switch and the KNX movement detector.

Regards

Simen
