Mosé Marangoni 9 years ago in Devices / Modbus updated by Jure Lahajnar 9 years ago 12

Hi,

I'm using a modbus devices (light, dimmer, ect) with moxa RTUtoTCP converter, the connection is instable and every time give me the message "Error connecting to device", after few second "Device is connected" but if try to change state I get message "Error setting value .... device is not connect ..." After few second the state change anyway but the interaction is very very slow

Any suggestion please?

Thanks a lot

We are checking the Modbus driver again, possible fixes will be available in next update.

Hi, please check if you have any invalid addresses in you modbus configuration. Try to create new Modbus configuration with only few addresses for which you are sure that they are correct.

We having the same problem here

we using KNX IP Routers and a TCPIP Modbus connection to a BMS System (SHE RCM)

Thru Modbus Commands we are switching KNX Groups on the other side

Whenever there is a Communication Problem to 1 of our KNX Ip Routers (no Power) as well the Communication to the Modbus also goes on error for 15sec and connect back.

It is for sure not a Network Problem we have checked with Wireshark

This is only happen after the last update before it was running normal without error on the modbus side

I'm looking into last night, the address are all ok. I change the moxa with a standard gateway (tibbo).

With the dimmer light no problem, everythings works right but with boolean I need to set "Read Cyclically" on "False" and I didn.t get any error. The problem is that I didn't get the real state of the light.

Any suggestion please?

Thanks in advance

Best regards

* If I swicht on the light from an fisical swicht, I didn't get the real status on bOs boolean

** Update

For some boolean if i change "Read Cyclically" on "True" works and i get the real state.

Did you try with any other Modbus monitor to see if you get the state?

Hi, it's possible to get an older version to try if everithings works right

Hi,

try to install bOS Server BETA version. You can install it via bOS Configurator under Updates tab -> More -> Install bOS Server BETA.

That has not gone well for me, I've now lost all my Zwave network, shall I start a new thread or is this something you know about?

Hi,

was the configuration deleted from bOS Configurator First try updating to the new version. bOS Beta is updated on a daily basis. If the issue isn't resolved please start a new thread on the forum.
