Fibaro

John 6 years ago in Devices / Z-Wave updated by ComfortClick Support 5 years ago 8

Hi there friends,,

I’m new to comfortclick and I’m trying to add Fibaro controller (HC2) in the software to control the Fibaro devices already in the HC2.

Can you please help and guide me on how to do that?

Your help would be highly appreciated

Hello,

in your bOS configurator under devices add Fibaro device (HC2), under host URL enter IP of your controller (you can try both http and https infront of IP, as seen in the description) and the login credentials under Username and Password. Once enabling the Fibaro, you should see Device is Connected in your Log, also under Values tab, Connected should be True.

Clicking Discovery under Devices in your fibaro should display all devices included in your Fibaro, you can configure them by double clicking on them. As this driver is similar to our Z-wave driver, feel free to read our z-wave manual or watch our tutorial videos regarding Z-wave and bOS on our youtube channel.

Best regards.

thanks for the help but can you please elaborate more and if you can send a video or snapshot on how to do it step by step that would be extremely helpful

Hello,

Fibaro driver was added in our latest release so if it's missing from your devices list, try updating to the latest version, or even updating to our latest BETA version.

To update to our beta version, open configurator, select Building node, Updates tab, select More and select Install bOS server BETA. After that, you should be able to see Fibaro under your devices. Configuring fibaro is as mentioned in first response, you can also check our z-wave part of our webinar, which is very similar to our Fibaro driver.

Best regards.

Hello,

I tried following your steps of installing the BETA version for the bOS server, however, after selecting "Install bOS server BETA" I receive the message retrieving server update. Then the server disconnected and nothing happens. I've also tried installing the server update manually through the "Updates" folder in the bOS server directory but the same issue arises. I'm currently on version 4.4.4 and I can see FIBARO dll files in the server directory but unable to find FIBARO in the devices list on the bOS configurator. Please help.

I have uploaded a video showing the steps taken : Video

Hello,

that is normal after every update. Server needs to restart in order to install the new version so it goes offline for a minute and then comes back. To expand your Devices list and add the fibaro device, double click on Devices or click the "+" to expand the tree.

Best regards.
