shelly 3 TRV valve Bluetooth gateway

Hello,

I've bought a new TRV (Thermal Valve) with Bluetooth adapter from Shelly. I was from the understanding that implementation was simple, because I already used the Shelly 1 Plug 1 devices.

Can anyone help me on the way with the new Gen3 protocol. I just want to use the devices locally, so no connection to cloud needed.

Hello,

By "Gen3 protocol" do you mean like, the supposed KNX support they advertised on "Gen3 and Gen2 Pro* devices"?

I'm sad to disappoint you, but Shelly is doing a very bad job advertising stuff that it doesn't support after all.

It looks like only a small part of those devices actually support KNX.

For example:

Shelly Plug S Gen3 is an advertised Gen3 device, so theoretically with KNX support. Guess what, still no KNX!

So, either you can use MQTT, or the TCP server for example, like you would on the Shelly Plug 1 devices.
