configuration file format

Gracjan 4 years ago in bOS Configurator / Devices updated by arsnv 1 year ago 6

I found configuration files (import/export of bOS tree) are kind of binary format. Is there any way to manage them outside of the bOS Config application? Especially the HTTP device which I'm interested in. I would like to generate automatically the configuration of the HTTP device and import it straight into bOS Config.

Hello,

unfortunately no, these files can only be opened/configured via bOS configurator.

Best regards.

Are there any plans to extend the bOS Config application to load json/xml documents for http device like ETS files for KNX?

Hello,

there is a plan to extend the application, but this will be implemented in the long future.

Best regards.

Hello,

We have a client that uses Comfortclick to manage several locations and we've been tasked to keep it that way but consolidate some of that information on a central location.

We wanted to export a list of KNX variables from the tree to pick those relevant on each of those locations but we've found this same issue: we cannot export the variable list on a non-binary format to easily go over it.

¿Is there any new development on any kind of readable-file exporter?

Thank you in advance.

Hello,

for now exporting configuration or parts of the configuration can only be opened and viewed within the bOS applications (bOS Config)

Best regards.

Hello.

I understand. Anyhow i would think about it, because interoperability is becoming the norm nowadays and having the posibility to export CC variables to be read would be useful.

Thank you for your answer.
