HUE problems with latest version

Andy Gill 6 years ago in Devices / HUE updated by ComfortClick Support 6 years ago 5

Since the latest release was installed I'm having issues with my Hue lighting, if I send any hue commands from BOS I lose the whole hue system, the hue switches no longer work and the lights come on and off randomly (possible delayed from switch operation). I have to reset the hue bridge and then the hue switches work again. and all is fine until I send another command via BOS.

Hello,

thank you for reporting this issue. How many HUE lamps are you controlling? Do you lose the connection to the HUE system by simply turning on a lamp?

Best regards.

I have 10 hue lamps and six hue wall switches, the issue is more that if I control a light through BOS it seems to cause a problem with the HUE side of things and as result can no longer control via Hue switches or the hue app? it seems to react randomly to switch actions.

It may be that the HUE and BOS statuses are conflicting?

Hello,

we tested in the office the current HUE driver with our HUE system and everything worked great. There are some changes regarding on/off and temperatures, so there could be some settings that you can try and change but HUE should be working.

Try disabling current HUE node, add a new one and make fresh connection to the hub and see if the issues persists.

Best regards.

Hello,

One thing I noticed is the on/off control of the HUEs. When you say "there are some changes regarding on/off", you mean is no longer possible to dim lights from 0% without turning it on first? Because I can't do it.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

that is correct, if power is = False, dimm or other will not work, lamp needs to be powered up before dimm (before setting dimm all the way would turn off the lamp)

Best regards,
