Get clarity from internet

Jef Wijns 4 years ago in bOS Configurator updated 4 years ago 11

Is it possible to obtain clarity via the web weather forecast? Or when it is dark outside?

With best regards

Hi,

You mean like, dusk and dawn? Like to trigger stuff?

Yes, it's possible. If you add your location in the configuration, you can use day night dawn dusk whatever suits your needs. According to your location, you'll get sun position, expected time for dawn day dusk and night values, among other useful things.

For example, I'm using the dusk trigger to close all my shutters automatically. And to turn some lights on at dusk and  to turn them off when it's dawn.

You can find and configure this under Building > General > Sun

Dear,

Thankyou for this info!

I do not now how i can use this info in logic function.

I wish that when it gets dark that a 1 is written on one knx object (1bit).
How can I do this?

Best regards

Hi,

You will need to add your location, so that bOS web service knows where you're at.

Then you will need a Task node, set the Dusk "true" value as a trigger of that task, and add your KNX address as a command of that task.

I'm out of the computer right now, but will tell you exactly the steps later.

Something like this should work. In your case other way around.

Thanks for the example Jürgen, it's very useful for Jef to understand the principle.

Thank you all for explane me!

I dit this with a program but it does not work.

Is it because i have no triggers?

yes you need to have triggers. Otherwise it wont know when to switch.

Hi,

Yes, you need to set any the triggers, otherwise the task doesn't know when to trigger a certain action...

Add the triggers on top, as Jürgen posted on his image.

Best regards

Thanks boys!

I hope it works tonight!
