Answer
Yes you can control it via TCP commands with Basic driver.
Hello,
please note that Samsung to this date has not yet released a public API allowing us to connect and control all of their Smart TV's.
The samsung and LG TV drivers were reverse engineered and work well on certain models, and not work at all on another.
You can, by all means add Samsung tv to your bOS, add the TV's IP and MAC (you can find both of those using IP scanner)
and see if you're able to control the TV.
Best regards.
Not working as so many other things ... first experience with bOS is really disappointing
Hello,
any news for Samsung TV's? There is any ready driver to work?
Hello,
we're currently improving a bit on our LG driver, Samsung unfortunately still doesn't have an open API for us to use and integrate devices into bOS. Current Samsung driver is still reverse engineered, so it's far from perfect, but works on some devices.
Until we get an official open API, there isn't much we can do to integrate it.
Best regards.
