BACnet Priorities, Integration of 3rd party devices
Hello everyone,
I am currently using Jigsaw Pro for home automation and have integrated a Siemens PXC4 controller along with an RDG260KN/BK thermostat via BACnet/IP. While the integration works well overall, I’ve encountered a couple of challenges related to BACnet write priorities and multistate commands.
Challenge 1: BACnet Write Priority
When writing values, such as temperature setpoints or operation modes, to the Siemens controller through Jigsaw Pro, the values seem to be written at BACnet priority 8. This priority level acts as a manual override in the Siemens PXC4 controller. However, for my application, I need these values to be written at BACnet priority 13, which corresponds to normal operation without overriding.
I’ve tested the PXC4 using BACnet browsers like Yabe and Siemens BACnet Browser, and I can successfully write values at priority 13 from those tools. I’m wondering if Jigsaw Pro supports specifying the write priority for BACnet points and, if so, how this can be configured within the system.
Challenge 2: Multistate BACnet Commands
In addition, I need to configure a multistate BACnet point for the thermostat's operation mode. Specifically, I want to send:
- Value 2 for Off
- Value 5 for Cooling
Could someone guide me on how to configure these specific multistate commands in Jigsaw Pro? I also need to ensure that these commands are written at BACnet priority 13.
I would appreciate any guidance or suggestions from the community or the ComfortClick support team to help resolve these issues.
Thank you in advance for your assistance!
